In the craziness of urban living feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and depression are at an all time high. Studies have proven that human interaction and relationships improve one’s mental and physical health and overall quality of life. To help encourage interaction with others, the Joy Box utilizes color changing LED lights, sound, artificial intelligence, and magnetic connection to create an immersive, sensory experience that encourages people to gather and work together to create their own community game room. Each box can function fully on its own, but the more boxes that connect, the more exciting they become - creating different colors, creating songs, creating furniture, and enhancing one’s creativity and enjoyment. The fact that their true potential is not realized until joined with the other boxes, encourages people to work together and build relationships to provide joy.
