Interfaith Housing and Community Services in a non-profit seeking to alleviate poverty and building community through housing assistance, financial education, and individual empowerment.  They have taken notice that there is a need for housing for people exiting the prison system in Hutchinson, KS.   People exit the prison system with absolute nothing.  Interfaith Housing and Community Services provides these people with basic needs to help them readjust to life.   Their goal is to allow these people to have a place to live while working to get back on their feet.  I was asked to design a duplex that was easy to navigate, had a secure and home-like feel, and each unit be about 500 square feet.  Each person would have their own kitchen, living space, bathroom, bedroom, and porch.  Each duplex would have a shared space for laundry and mechanical.
